National Library Week

April 9-15 is National Library Week, a time to highlight the changing role of libraries, librarians and library workers. Libraries aren’t only a place of quiet study, but also creative and engaging community centers.

Mercer County District Library in Celina is celebrating National Library Week by offering prize contests for library users of all ages.

  • Children/Parents can fill out an entry form for checking out a book from the library. Prize: “Pete the Cat” Book Bundle.
  • Teens can fill out an entry form with one word that explains why the library is important. Prize: $25 Amazon Gift Card.
  • Adults can fill out an entry form with an explanation of why the library is important to them. Prize: Kindle Fire.
