Free Computer Classes
The Mercer County District Library has been offering free computer classes to the public for over 10 years. The classes are one-on-one and last an hour, though more classes can always be scheduled. They can be given in either a structured class format or a question and answer session about anything that’s giving you trouble. No skill level is required but it’s important to keep in mind that if the subject you request is advanced past your personal skill level, the hour may not be enough to cover everything. Though they are typically given to one student, the classes can be given to two students at a time if you would prefer to have a spouse, sibling, friend, etc. with you.
Topic Examples:
- Computer Basics
- Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Basics
- Internet Basics
- Social Media (Twitter, Facebook, etc.)
- Tablets
- EBooks
- Smartphones
Contact the library today (419-586-4442) to schedule a computer class. If you don’t see the topic you want to learn about on this page, we may still be able to help you. As long as one of our tutors is familiar with the topic, we can create a class for you.If you don’t need a class but have a few questions about something specific (like how to delete emails, how to print on both sides of a sheet of paper, etc.), you still need to schedule a visit but it won’t be necessary to block out an hour of your day. Chances are we’ll have you in and out within ten minutes, depending on the question.
