Adult Summer Reading:
Our Program this year will be a little different for obvious reasons. Additional programs and activities will be added throughout the program weekly. This page will have all of our program and activities posted throughout the summer. Parents are encouraged to join! Reading 15 childrens books to a child counts as 1 adult book! Remember ebooks and eaudiobooks count too!
Book discussion group will meet on Tuesday, October 5th at 6:30 pm. Book being discussed will be “The Obsession” by Nora Roberts
The 2021 Summer Reading Finale Party will be Friday, July 23rd at 2:00 PM at the Marion Local Elementary Gym.
Zak Morgan will entertain, and prizes will be awarded.
At 1:30 PM and 3:00 PM on Monday, July 19th, OSU Extension will be here for a recycle program. Craft will be a piggy bank.
Join us for an Olympic-themed family night at 6:30 PM on Tuesday, July 13th. Relay races, torch craft, and a snack will be provided. No pre-registration required.
Cheeseman Trucking will be here for “Touch A Truck” at 1:30 PM and 3:00 PM on Monday, July 12th. Craft will be an animal mask.
We will be closed for the holiday on Monday, July 5th.
At 1:30 PM and 3:00 PM on Monday, June 18th, sled dogs will be here. Craft will be paper plate snakes.
Shelly Smithley will be here with a service dog at 1:30 PM and 3:00 PM on Monday, June 21st. Craft will be a butterfly feeder.
At 1:30 PM and 3:00 PM on Monday, June 18th, Dr. Tom Cully will be here with a calf. Craft will be an origami bookmark.
There are animal footprints located in various business/school windows in Chickasaw, Maria Stein, and Osgood. Find the 5 animal footprints in Chickasaw and receive a secret code, find the 5 animal footprints in Maria Stein and receive a secret code, and find the 5 animal footprints in Osgood and receive a secret code.
Email the code on the footprints and/or the location from each town to email@example.com and we will verify them and send you the secret code. You could potentially get 3 secret codes. (You do not need to go into the business, the footprints can be viewed from the outside).
